For me, Alex is definitely one of the best contributors on the podcast. Well spoken (not too much umm, you know like Jake), straight to the point and doesn’t ramble on (like Monty can sometimes). He obviously know his stuff, but doesn’t come across like a know it all (like Jake can be sometimes). He is also not a try hard (Keith and Quincy), and most importantly, he doesn’t cut people off like Quincy. Keep up the good work, Alex!

We ordered ours. Most of our driving will be in and around town ie shopping, taking kids to school, visiting friends etc. We have had Tesla, Toyota in the past. I do like the off-road and you aren't in that mode where you must find a charging station in an all electric vehicle. We need the towing for our boat and the wrangler doesn't cut it in the towing department. That was our #1 choice until we saw the Trailhawk 4xe. I do like the Jeeps but my last one was a 1993 GC.

I think they look better in person. Didn’t like the front end till I saw one in person.

I know they are not the best looking podcasters, but pretty sharp for car guys, especially Alex. :)

Didn't the new GC lose some weight when compared to the previous Gen? Loved my 2018 Limited 3.6. Strong highway gas mileage, zero issues but mediocre interior comfort. Went 2021 Cherokee Limited High Altitude 2.0t believing I didn't "need" a vehicle the size of the GC. I miss the room and sadly they are getting priced out of my comfort zone. Keep up the excellent programing.

Very funny Ryan, recommending the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. In the Wall Street Journal this week, the wait list for that car alone is one year. ONE YEAR! Some dealerships are saying that the wait list is 1500 cars long at one dealership. So that is not an option in his time frame. Alex's suggestions are more available so those could work for him. Best of luck!

    HI Guys great review.
There are several of us who have 2022 V6 2 row Overlands experiencing a vibration / hum like feel + hollow sound at low speeds (15MPH to 45MPH) from the left front.
Its kind of annoying and sounds like something you might experience from an entry level car not a $60 to $65K ride.
The situation tends to go away when the roads are perfect.
Couple of us have gone to our servicing dealer and got nowhere.
Wondering if you all have noticed this with the V6. How quiet is the Hybrid at low speed?
Lastly - your point on the average MPG is spot on and why we went with the V6.

Great review, thanks! But I think you missed a few of the hybrid advantages. Such as being quicker and more powerful than the V8 Hemi, and the regenerative braking potential for people in mountainous regions - particularly when towing up to 6,000 lb.

Kia EV9, Ionic 7 came to mind for 3 row EVs, can't wait to see them.

The answer to the viewer's, (and most people's) question about what vehicle should they buy? Minivan. Just own it, you've got a growing family, you will love the room and practicality, and Toyota's hybrid minivans get great mileage. The actual problem with 3 row SUVs is that if you are taking any kinds of trips that require all the seats to be up and you have luggage/cargo/gear, you have less room back there than a mid-size sedan trunk (unless you're okay with packing to the roof and blocking all your windows). Of course lots of family-tripping SUV owners deal with that problem by getting roof-top boxes and/or platforms that hitch onto the back to hold gear.

Concerning the last question from an auditor, What about the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug in hybrid? Yes, the 3rd row is quite small but it's there. And the price makes sense.
    Just saying...

I know this is 2 months old but asking anyways - Can that little delay be patched out with a software update?

My vote for current 2.5L Toyota Highlander Hybrid AWD as well. May be soon the new 2.4T 8 speed auto might get Hybrid version? Also Sienna Hybrid had Woodland edition with mini van practicality and crossover ground clearance 6.9 (vs in EV world Tesla model X/Y is 6.6 clearance), but looks like Woodland is not available for 2023 model year. If one can stretch the budget to $60K I would even look at the big boy Toyota Sequoia 4WD Hybrid with 3.4 twin turbo + 10 spd auto. Especially here in CO snow and outdoor life after Toyota and Subaru AWD experience now I'm addicted to 4WD.

Just curious, what manufacturer actually equips their vehicles with good true A/T tires? I've always heard OEM tires were lacking.

Hi Braulio, Don't worry about your carbon footprint: 4 kids blew that up long ago. I'd go with the Toyota Sienna. Nobody's dream machine, but it will serve your family well for many years at minimal cost.

-8000+ miles annually all-EV commuting on cheap, clean home charging.
-Never hostage involuntarily to public charging (often occupied, ICED, vandalized or in unsafe place at night).
-Smooth, torquey, quiet, electric driving with brake-saving regen.

$70000 price tag what a deal-nothing green here-most people won't qualify for the $7500 tax credit-read the fine print.

It doesn't make sense, too expensive and with all of Jeep's reliability issues it'll be suicide to go with this...

The tires aren't burly. They aren't even a real all terrain. So that talk is nonsense.

IMO, the Jeep GCT 4xe is trying, and failing, to compete with the similarly priced but far better BMW X5 45e.
